Papua Immersion was founded by Olivier Helloco, Director of Papua Immersion LLC (USA), after years of exploring the remote islands, reefs, rivers, and communities of West Papua.

Driven by a passion for authentic adventure and cultural discovery, Olivier created Papua Immersion to share one of the last truly wild regions on Earth with travelers seeking experiences beyond the ordinary.

Arnout has spent decades exploring some of the world's most renowned fishing destinations. A passionate angler with extensive experience across Europe, Africa, South America and Asia, he has visited Papua more than ten times and shares his expertise with guests seeking remote and authentic fishing adventures.

All expeditions, logistics, transportation, accommodation arrangements, permits, local guides, and on-the-ground operations in Indonesia are managed by a tourism company operating under Indonesian law and holding the required tourism-related licenses and authorizations.

PT Lanca Mitrabadi is responsible for the organization and delivery of services within Indonesia, including local transportation, accommodations, guides, permits, and expedition logistics.

Successful expeditions in Papua depend on reliable equipment, experienced local teams, and careful preparation. To ensure comfort and safety in some of the region's most remote areas, Papua Immersion operates its own fleet of vehicles, boats, and expedition equipment.

Ground Transportation

• 2 Mitsubishi Triton 4×4 vehicles for airport transfers, remote access, and overland expeditions.

Marine Fleet

• 2 expedition boats powered by twin 40 HP engines for island hopping, coastal exploration, whale shark excursions, and offshore adventures.

• 2 smaller boats powered by twin 15 HP engines for coastal fishing, sheltered waters, rivers, and mangrove exploration.

• Traditional Papuan canoes used when navigating remote rivers and reaching areas inaccessible by larger boats.
